It has been brought to our attention that fraudsters are sending emails to CTK Parishioners that appear to be from Fr. Matthew. These emails indicate that Fr. Matthew is needing some assistance and asks the recipient to reply as soon as possible. Please do not fall victim to this scam.
While Fr. Matthew does use email as a regular form of communication, he will not send urgent requests for assistance via email. If you receive a suspicious email that appears to be from Fr. Matthew, do NOT click any links in the email and do NOT reply to the email. It is best to just delete the email. If you have questions about the legitimacy of an email from Fr. Matthew, please contact the church office.

Welcome Deacon Travis Mecum
Travis Mecum will be with us here at CTK this summer. He was ordained to the Transitional Diaconate for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas on May 18, 2019, and at the end of this summer, will return to Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Massachusetts to finish his final year of theological studies. He brings a wide range of experiences to his vocation, which have enabled him to gain a deeper understanding of the need and thirst for a life enriched by deep and abiding faith in Christ. Since his entry to seminary, he has ministered to the poor and homeless, the sick, and in hospice. His ordination to the priesthood is currently scheduled for the year 2020.
