Scouting is a significant youth ministry at Christ the King for both boys and girls, ages 5 to 18. It is our nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be “Prepared. For Life.®”
Christ the King Parish charters Cub Scout Pack 11 and BSA Scouting Troop 11.
BSA programs are divided by age and activity:
Join anytime in any academic year. It’s never too late to get into scouting!
Scout units at our parish are rooted in faith, focus on experiencing nature and outdoor adventures, develop leadership, and learn to live by the Scouting Oath and Law.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Cub Scouts work towards the Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting.
Scouts BSA members all have an opportunity to earn the famous Eagle award, the highest award in the Scouts BSA program.
Troop 11's Vision Statement was developed by the Scouts themselves: "We are a Scout-led troop focused on personal growth and advancing down the trail to Eagle, while enjoying great adventures outdoors!"
