Dawn Brown, Director
Dawn is the Director of the Early Education Center. Dawn has a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Washburn University and 27 years experience in the field. During her career, Dawn has spent 20 years working with school-age children. She was also a home childcare provider for many years. She is married and has three stepchildren and two step-grandchildren. When she is not at work, Dawn enjoys reading, restoring antiques, being with her children and grandchildren (which are the apple of her eye.) She also enjoys volunteering for Shawnee County 4-H and Capital Area Providers Organizations.
Ashley Maxwell, Assistant Director
Ashley is one of the Assistant Directors of the Early Education Center. Ashley has 10 years experience in childcare. Ashley has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education with two endorsements, one in Early Childhood Education and the other in Early Childhood Special Education. Ashley has worked for the Early Education Center since 2011. In her years here, she has taught half-day preschool, was a co-counselor in the summer camp program, and was briefly the School Age Director before accepting the position as Assistant Director. When not at work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her three sons, reading, running, creating art, and cooking.
Melissa Mosher, Assistant Director
Melissa Mosher is one of the Assistant Directors of Christ the King Early Education Center. Melissa has over 20 years experience in childcare caring for ages toddler through school-age. Melissa has her Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Education from Rasmussen College. Melissa loves helping children learn about the world around them through nature, science, and hand's on experiences. When not at work, Melissa enjoys time with her husband, son, and their many animals. Melissa loves reading, gardening, nature, fishing, and camping.
