Perpetual Adoration

Have you considered Perpetual Adoration?

We are truly blessed to have Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which began at Christ the King on November 7, 1993. The Adoration Chapel is located in the back of the main church in its own enclosed space. The chapel is perpetual – open 24 hours, 7 days a week including Holidays!  Anyone is welcome to come to pray at any time, and many people choose to be scheduled for a regular hour each week. For more information, please contact Stan and Maxine Wiechert, 478-3849.

St. Monica Ministry

The Saint Monica Ministry is a devotion promoting prayer for the return to the Catholic faith of family members and friends. The ministry has taken Saint Monica, mother of Saint Augustine (a wayward son), as their patroness, guide, model and intercessor. Saint Monica committed 30 years of prayers, sacrifices, efforts and tears to the conversion of her son, Augustine. We pray to her that she will bring our request to Almighty God, with the same fervor and persistence with which she prayed for her son. The ministry meets on the second Saturday of each month at 7:30 am at Christ the King Church. Rosary and novena prayers are followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Contact Annie Lackey at 785-554-7875 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Prayer Network

The Prayer Network is an intercessory support group for Christ the King Parish community. Volunteers spend time each day in prayer for the needs of the parish. Prayer requests are accepted throughout the week, and the requests are distributed to network members each weekend. When emergency situations, such as accident, surgery, or death occur, the members are immediately notified. All prayer requests are kept confidential. Participants serve with respect, without judgment and hold in confidence all that is shared. Anyone needing prayers for their friends or loved ones should email us at This email address is being protected from spambots.  Aubry's Angels Rosary Garden is the fulfillment of a dream by a 15 year old, remarkable young woman. Aubry Williams was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 12. She fought valiantly and stubbornly. She faced a huge challenge with grace, dignity and a remarkable courage. However, God had other plans and called her home three years later. Aubry had a dream of an outdoor rosary garden where people could come close to God and the Blessed Mother any time they were in need, whether that need was sorrowful or joyful. Through the diligent work of an amazing team named Aubry's Angels, a wishful thought, the thread of a dream, has become a prayer fulfilled.
