Following are all of our parish ministries, organized within these four groups.
Assist the celebrant at Mass for those 5th grade and above. Schedule a training session by calling the church office, 785-273-0710.
Parishioners that distribute Holy Communion at Masses. Contact Carol Hamilton, 785-249-3717.
Welcome visitors and parishioners before all Masses. Ideal for families. Contact Rita Grace, 785-506-6325.
Proclaim the Word of God at Sunday Masses and special celebrations. Contact Brenda Zimmerman at [email protected]

Lead the congregation to relay the Word of God through song.
Adult Choir: Members help lead the assembly with their gift of harmonies and choral singing.
Provide musical accompaniment for cantor at weekend and special masses.
Adoration is a ministry to pray before the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sign up for a regular hour or as a substitute for silent prayer and adoration. Contact Stan & Maxine Wiechert, 785-478-3849.
Join 115 individuals that respond to the request to pray for the sick or those confronted with a challenge in their life. Contacts: Annie Lackey, 554-7875 or [email protected]
Members try to say a five decade Rosary each day. In addition, members pray the Rosary on Mary's special feasts. Volunteers also needed to help weed and maintain the garden area. Contact Mary Franz, 785-478-1015.
Preparation and care of vessels before and after Mass. Contact Michael Podrebarac, 785-273-0710.
Join parishioners on the second Saturday each month at 7:30 am for a rosary and novena prayers with an 8 am Mass to follow. Saint Monica Ministry is a devotion promoting prayer for the return to the Catholic faith of family members and friends. Share Christ's love through outreach and service including helping with Advent trees, works of mercy during Lent, collect school supplies and more. Call the church office at 785-273-0710 to sign up.

Join a group of Parishioners that spend one day a month cleaning our church. Contact Connie Sterbenz at 785-221-5027.

Provide food and help in various ways with occasional programs, events and receptions. Contact Kathy Tramp, 273-1109.
Prepare salads or desserts for funeral luncheon. Contact Mary Taylor at 272-1335 to bring salads; Marci Ross at 785-478-0227 for cookies or brownies.
Prepare and serve a light lunch after Mass or service to comfort and support family and friends of the deceased. Contact Dolores Engel, 785-272-5256.
Help beautify the church grounds by landscaping and maintaining garden areas. Contact needed.
Assist in answering phone during weekday staff meetings. Call the church office, 785-273-0710.

Join our group most Wednesday mornings collaborating on quilting projects. Call Elaine Hatch at 785-478-9128.
This annual Italian Festival is held in the fall. It includes an outdoor Mass, Italian dinner, beer & wine garden, activities for children of all ages and a firework display. Kyle & Heather Grunert, [email protected] or 554-0685.
Help to remove snow from the church campus and at private residential homes for those who are unable to remove snow from their driveways and sidewalks. To sign up, please call our church office at 785-273-0710.
Volunteers help in various ways in the Early Ed Center. Virtus training required to volunteer in the classroom. For helping in the EEC, contact Ashley Maxwell at 785-272-2999.

Sponsor: Adults willing to accompany RCIA candidates to weekly sessions and provide spiritual support for the candidate.

Volunteers help teach students grades K-8 or help with Totus Tuus in the summer. Those that cannot teach every week could volunteer as a substitute or be a classroom aide. Virtus training required to all who volunteer in the classroom. Contact Deb Frost, 785-273-0710.

We are a Discalced Carmelite Secular Order community who strive to live the Evangelical Counsels in a spirit of contemplation for the sanctification of the Church and the world. Contact Martha Ganser, 785-232-2586.
Assist with handing out grocery bags and collecting donations for drive. Contact Fred Biesmeyer at 478-3147.
A charitable organization of Catholic women founded on the principle of its motto: Unity, Friendship and Charity. Meetings are held the 4th Sunday of the month at Christ the King Church. Contact Mary Rovaris at 785-478-9358.
A Catholic men's social and service organization dedicated the the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. This ministry meets monthly and is open to all men of the parish. Contact our Grand Knight, Thomas Bagley, at 785-670-0072.
That Man is You: An interactive, multimedia men's program focused upon the development of authentic male leadership. Contact Everett Spellman, 271-1495.
Brings communion to Catholics in skilled nursing, assisted, rehab and independent living facilities, and parishioners who are homebound (temporarily or long-term) and visit hospitals. Contact Annie Juarez at [email protected] or Marty Owens at 785-925-1628.
